Hello, I'm Adam Cochrane, a dedicated personal trainer with a passion for helping people achieve their fitness goals, whether that means building strength, improving performance, or transforming their health through weight loss. My journey in the fitness industry has been shaped by years of education, hands-on experience, and a deep commitment to delivering personalised training solutions.
Educational Background
My academic foundation in fitness began with a Bachelor of Science with Honours (BSc Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science. This degree provided me with an in-depth understanding of human physiology, biomechanics, and the psychological aspects of fitness and athletic performance. Crucially, it also covered the science behind weight loss strategies, including how the body adapts to exercise, the role of metabolism, and the most effective ways to help individuals lose weight and maintain a healthier lifestyle.
To further specialise in personal training, I pursued a Diploma in Personal Training and Nutrition, equipping me with the practical knowledge needed to design individualised training programs and nutritional plans that deliver real, sustainable results.
Professional Experience
Straight after university, I began my career working for David Lloyd Clubs, one of the UK’s most respected names in health and fitness. This experience allowed me to work with a diverse range of clients, from complete beginners to experienced athletes, honing my ability to tailor training to individual needs.
I then moved into corporate fitness, working with some of the largest companies in London’s financial sector. My role involved designing workplace wellness programs that helped busy professionals stay fit, combat stress, and improve productivity through structured exercise routines.
Despite the success of my corporate work, I saw a real need for exclusive, highly personalised training services that fit around clients' lifestyles. That’s why I took the plunge and set up Take Control, bringing high-quality, results-driven personal training directly to clients' homes. This approach ensures my clients get the expert guidance, motivation, and support they need—without the inconvenience of a gym environment.
Celebrity & Media Projects
My expertise has also led me to work on high-profile media projects and with celebrity clients, helping them prepare for roles, events, and demanding physical performances. Being sought after by major media brands has been a privilege and has given me insight into elite-level fitness coaching, body transformations, and rapid performance improvements under tight deadlines.

Outside of personal training, I’m a family man who loves spending quality time with my wife and young daughter. When I’m not helping clients take control of their fitness, I enjoy relaxing through photography, capturing moments and scenes that inspire me. I’m also passionate about sports—both football and rugby are close to my heart—and whenever I get the chance to visit the coast, I love surfing and connecting with the ocean.
My passion lies in helping clients break through barriers and discover their potential. Fitness isn’t just about changing your body—it’s about building confidence, improving mental health, and creating a lifestyle that supports your long-term well-being.
